The Greater Atlantic City Chamber brings together business leaders from around Atlantic County to create a better business climate and an enhanced quality of life in the region.  As we begin the giving season, several Chamber members have stepped up to support a local healthcare foundation.

We have all heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, but there is a new global holiday that encourages citizens to give back. “#GivingTuesday” is a movement to celebrate and provide incentives to give. It will culminate with a global day of giving on December 2, 2014. This effort harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners— charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.

This Chamber has always encouraged its members to “grow together” by engaging at events and developing meaningful relationships that can foster valuable collaboration. This year, Chamber members: Glenn Insurance, the South Jersey Building Trades Council and other local organizations have joined the #GivingTuesday movement in a big way by donating or matching donations to the Bacharach Hospital Foundation.

The Bacharach Hospital Foundation was created in 1991 to manage and apply charitable contributions for the benefit of the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation. A Board of Trustees, nominated and elected from the community, governs the Foundation. Each year, the Foundation makes a grant to the Institute, which directly benefits patient care.

Charitable contributions can be made in a variety of ways-through annual giving, supporting the annual golf tournament or fundraising events, making a memorial contribution, a gift or pledge to the building fund, or through a planned gift such as a bequest, charitable remainder trust or life insurance policy.

The Bacharach Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation, and all charitable contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. For more information, call 609-748-5250.
