The Arc of Atlantic County’s Annual Holiday Partners Program is seeking the community’s support to make the holidays a little brighter, by providing Thanksgiving meals and holiday gifts for more than 150 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families living in Atlantic County.

Holiday Partners represent members of the community; including businesses, individuals, families, schools, community groups, service organizations, employee resource groups, and others, who epitomize the spirit of giving, by providing meals, gifts and monetary assistance to individuals and families who would otherwise go without.

“We are requesting support from the community for people who have a financial need and receive services from The Arc of Atlantic County,” said Rebecca Reed, Director of Clinical Services. “People with IDD may not have access to transportation or other means to obtain food donations, or they may lack the resources necessary to make the holidays special. The Holiday Partners Program provides a meaningful way to give back so that everyone we serve can enjoy a hearty meal and experience the joy of receiving a gift for the holidays.”

Donations may be made from November 7 through December 9, 2022. Donate online at www.thearcatlantic.org/donate or via check mailed to: The Arc of Atlantic County, ATTN: Holiday Partners, 6550 Delilah Road, Suite 101, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. Holiday Partners donations will be used to purchase Thanksgiving meals, holiday gifts, and gift cards for those in need.

New this year, supporters can simply Shop, Click & Ship, by purchasing directly from The Arc’s Amazon Wish List, which can be found at thearcatlantic.org. Individuals residing in the The Arc of Atlantic County’s group homes, supervised apartments and supported living facilities have filled our Wish List with coloring books, games, clothing, and more

Each donation helps make the holiday season a little brighter for people living with disabilities. Unable to give, but still want to support? Volunteers are also needed to help wrap presents and make deliveries.
