When Emily and Jason Sisneros decided to become stake holders in Rollin Green, a soon-to-open cannabis dispensary in Atlantic City, they wanted it to be different than any other dispensary in the area. Emily Sisneros said she had been a civil litigator in the cannabis industry in neighboring Pennsylvania before the couple decided to jump into cannabis services here in New Jersey, joining owner Simi Kleinman-Gottesman.

They love Atlantic City and decided this was the spot they wanted to create something special and unique. Rollin Green, located at 1011 Arctic Avenue is that special place. To the Sisneros, it has been about not just catering to tourists, but being a part of a neighborhood and creating a fully immersive VIP casino royale experience when purchasing recreational cannabis. The couple looked around for a perfect spot in Atlantic City. Arctic Avenue was once a location for a number of black-owned businesses. Over time, those businesses went by the wayside, but now there is new energy in the area and Sisneros said Rollin Green is a big part of the neighborhood revival. They purchased an old laundromat and began from the ground up.

“We are taking a new approach with Rollin Green,” said Emily Sisneros. “We want residents to feel like this is their own place. Too often dispensaries are so antiseptic and not very welcoming. Rollin Green is distinctly different. We want tourists to have a great experience, but residents have too often been overlooked and we know, the residents are the backbone of Atlantic City. We want residents to feel like this is their place, and to be their one stop canna shop.

Rollin Green incorporates the aesthetics in its design. Rather than the sterile white lights and clerks simply filling the customer’s order, Rollin Green is flipping the experience on its head, according to Sisneros. Customers will find a more engaging experience where they can tune in to different senses. There will be an energy about Rollin Green, with music and a visual experience. “We want this to be something they enjoy. We are planning for paintings along the walls by local artists. There will be scents to coordinate with some of the products we will have available,” added Emily Sisneros.

Education is a big part of Rollin Green. As Emily explained, “Customers may be new to the cannabis experience and do not know exactly what they want. Members of our team are here to educate as well as dispense cannabis. They will be able to help the customer who is maybe looking for something with a flavor. If a customer comes in and does not know exactly what they want, we can ask what type of experience they are looking for. If they want a fun experience, we can steer them to some products we think they might enjoy. Likewise, if they are looking for a chill experience, we can guide them in that direction as well.

Rollin Green has been three years in the planning stages, according to Sisneros. They needed state and local approval once they found the location that would be the best fit. “We did not cut any corners. We wanted to make sure this was done right. So, we took our time.” The 3300 sq. ft Rollin Green cannabis dispensary located at 1011 Artic Avenue in Atlantic City is slated to open in the first quarter of 2025.
