The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to Atlantic City’s revitalization through its Local Property Acquisition Grant Program, recently approving over $2.5 million in funding for two transformative projects. This NJEDA program provides funding for the acquisition of vacant properties to support local economic development priorities.
Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation Inc. will receive $1.8 million to transform a vacant Ducktown property into a vibrant cultural arts center, featuring a 200+ seat theater and educational spaces. Meanwhile, Ideal Education secured $703,000 to develop a community co-op food market and aquaponics facility in Midtown, addressing critical food security needs.
