The Greater Atlantic City Chamber is a pround member of the New Jersey Business Coalition. The coalition, led by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association,is comprised of dozens of major business and nonprofit associations representing employers that provide millions of jobs in New Jersey. The coalition continues to put forth recommendations for a COVID-19 Legislative and Administrative Relief Package. The follwowing letter was sent on New Jersey’s Congressional Delegation on November 16, 2020.
As the leaders of the Garden State’s major business associations, as we move through the current lame- duck session and into the next term, we strongly urge you to prioritize additional federal assistance for states. The CARES Act provided key support to New Jersey families and businesses, but many programs have already expired and at the end of 2020 all Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) will expire. Without further assistance, New Jersey will struggle to weather the public health and economic crisis in the short-term and face a much slower economic recovery in the long term.
