Atlantic City, NJ – December 19, 2022 – Just in time for the holidays, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has adopted 10 families through The Arc of Atlantic County’s Holiday Partners Program. Hard Rock’s team of “Elves” were given names of individuals and families who receive services through The Arc of Atlantic County. They carefully shopped for and selected gifts for each family member. Wrapped gifts were picked up by The Arc and loaded onto their truck on Thursday, Dec. 15.

“We are humbled to partner with The Arc of Atlantic County to help local residents enjoy the holidays,” noted Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City Senior Vice President of Operations Michael Sampson. “None of this would be possible without the generosity of our team members who truly embody our core motto to Love All – Serve ALL.”

The Arc of Atlantic County’s Annual Holiday Partners Program seeks the help of businesses and community members each year to make the holidays a little brighter, by providing holiday meals and gifts for more than 150 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families living in Atlantic County.

Holiday Partners represent members of the community; including businesses, individuals, families, schools, community groups, service organizations, employee resource groups, and others, who epitomize the spirit of giving, by providing meals, gifts and monetary assistance to individuals and families who would otherwise go without.

“We are grateful for this partnership, and for those volunteers who work so hard to make the holidays a little brighter for people who live with an intellectual or developmental disability,” said Rebecca Reed, Director of Clinical Services at The Arc of Atlantic County. “Caring for a family member with IDD can be challenging for families at any income level, but when you add single-parenthood or a single-income to the situation, the holidays can become overwhelming.”

Donations for Holiday Partners are being accepted through Dec. 23. Visit thearcatlantic.org/donate, or mail a check to The Arc of Atlantic County, ATTN: Holiday Partners, 6550 Delilah Road, Suite 101, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. Holiday Partners donations are used to purchase holiday meals, gifts, and gift cards for those in need.
