“President Donald Trump signed an executive order in late April that will open up the Atlantic and Arctic oceans for potential drilling.  The order allows interior secretary Ryan Zinke to revisit a plan signed by former President Barack Obama that would have put those oceans off limits to drilling for another five years.

As a region that relies heavily on the condition of its beaches and waterways for its lifeblood as a tourism destination and where many commercial and recreational member businesses derive their economic livelihood, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber opposes this executive Order specifically and offshore drilling in the mid-Atlantic generally.”
