Greater Atlantic City Chamber Business Excellence Awards Nominations

The Chamber has honored the most dynamic and influential individuals in our community since the 1960s.  Seven awards will be presented to recipients at the 2020 Awards Banquet.  They are as follows: Business Leader of the Year, Community Leader of the Year, Economic Impact, Excellence in Small Business, Tourism Excellence, Outstanding Young Professional award, and Chamber Volunteer of the Year.  We encourage all Chamber members to submit nominations for each of the awards.  A selection committee composed of past recipients and members of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber’s Executive Committee select the honorees.

It is our honor to recognize the people and businesses that make our community so great.  The 2018 award recipients were as follows:

  • Redinia Gilliam-Mosee Business Leader presented by Atlantic Cape Community College: Shelly Yak, Federal Aviation Administration

  • John G. Fitzpatrick Community Leaders presented by OceanFirst Bank: Joe Jingoli and Jack Morris

  • Economic Impact presented by Cooper Levenson Attorneys at Law: Mark Callazzo, The Orange Loop

  • Small Business Excellence: presented by The Press of Atlantic City Josiah Bunting, Bunting Family Pharmacy

  • Tourism Excellence: Jon Henderson, Good Time Tricycle

  • Outstanding Young Professional presented by Townsquare Media: Crystal Rodriguez, Hamilton Mall

  • Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Rocco Pagano

Award Criteria

Redenia Gilliam-Mosee Business Leader of the Year

This award honors the most dynamic members of our business community who represent unparalleled commitment to their company, industry, and community.  The nominee should have participated in a broad scope of activities over the course of more than three years.

John G. Fitzpatrick Community Leadership Award

Presented annually to an Atlantic County leader or leaders who with loyalty and dedication, and without thought of personal gain, work for community betterment.  Recognition will be given for leadership and performance for work above and beyond his/her paid profession. The nominee should have participated in a broad scope of activities over the course of more than three years.

Economic Impact Award

This award recognizes an extraordinary investment int he community that has a significant and positive impact on the Atlantic County Economy and surrounding regions.

Excellence in Small Business

Awarded to a member business with less than 15 employees that displays overall outstanding contributions to the business community.  

Tourism Excellence

The award recognizes a demonstrated history of excellence through increasing awareness of Atlantic County as a viable tourist destination.  The recipient must have played a vital role in the growth of the tourism industry in our region.

Outstanding Young Professional

Awarded to the next generation of business professional who will play an important role in our region’s growth and prosperity.

Chamber Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes the efforts of an individual who goes out of his or her way to promote and support the Greater Atlantic City Chamber.  The efforts of this individual will share with others the story of our community and what it has to offer.
